"While in recovery from a spine surgery, I signed up for physical therapy just as I heard about Brea's Tai Chi class. I decided then to opt for her class, believing it would be a better fit for my age and body. I was right. The class has worked wonders for my back, legs and feet…all of which had been a constant source of discomfort. I had been unable to bend over for years until the surgery. I thought too much time had passed for me to regain that possibility, but with each class I gain more mobility. After one month, I found myself able to walk more smoothly and my stride has lengthened, allowing me to walk for longer periods of time. Between the stretching moves and meditation, Tai Chi has expanded my physical and mental world. Thank you, Brea, for being such an inspiring and dedicated teacher." -Charlotte Plantz, San Jose, NM
"I'm happy to have Brea Fisher as my Tai Chi teacher. She is quietly attentive to students, calm and practiced, while being both delighted and delightful. Our classes are infused with the heart she brings to her work." -Sharon Franklet., Ribera, NM
"What a surprise to find on the post office bulletin board in January of this year an announcement of the beginning of classes in tai chi at the restored Ribera schoolhouse. It was a greater surprise to discover during the first class I attended that the teacher was a highly gifted and engaging Brea Fisher. I had not come to expect such good fortune in our remote valley in northeastern New Mexico. Brea's class mixes warm-up, centering, and balancing exercises with instruction in her form of the martial art. As most of the participants are beginners, Brea is careful that everyone is in step with the form before she moves ahead, demonstrating and describing the movements and their applications carefully with the group. In addition, Brea's bi-weekly e-mail posts are thought-provoking and inspiring, urging us out of ourselves in order to get back into ourselves. Anyone interested in pursuing this course with Brea would do well to watch her brief basic sword form demonstration on YouTube. Her precise and graceful movements in that short video argue more strongly than words can for the benefits of aligning oneself with what Brea offers as a tai chi instructor." -Bill Johnson., Ribera, NM
"Brea is an excellent tai chi instructor. She exhibits wisdom beyond her years, yet also shows patience. Her teaching style is practical and easy to follow." -S.+ S. Skelton, Ribera, NM
"I studied Tai Chi and Kung Fu with Brea from 2013-2014, before she moved her practice from Denver to New Mexico. Our recent reconnection has reminded me of how important her class was to my overall health and wellness. I always looked forward to attending her class because the learning/lessons involved much more than Tai Chi, Kung Fu, etc. Brea's class helped me learn how to live more fully and how to let my heart shine." -Solwazi Johnson, Denver, CO
